Frequently Asked Questions

What is Get Access?

Get Access is a private markets membership platform for accredited investors. Members invest in growth-stage venture deals ordinarily sourced by our Access Network of 100+ venture insiders.

Who is eligible to join?

Membership is by application – each one is carefully reviewed by our team before admission into the platform. Get Access is open to accredited investors, as defined by the SEC – you can read the SEC’s definition of an accredited investor. Not every application is accepted.

How does it work?

Request Access and complete the application. Once you're approved and verified, you'll typically see one new deal each week. Each deal is open for 7 days and comes with a memo, terms, and fees. The minimum is $2,500 per deal. There's no maximum on what you can request, though allocations may be reduced if a deal is oversubscribed, and a deal may close before its window ends once it's fully allocated. Investments close through AngelList, where you'll receive your documents and annual tax forms.

What kinds of deals come through Get Access?

Growth-stage private companies raising a Series B or later round, or valued at $250 million or more. To make it into our platform, deals must reach a high bar – ordinarily sourced by one of our Access Investors, top tier institutional lead, exceptional founding team, and breakout traction are some of the criteria used in assessment. You're never obligated to invest.

What is an Access Investor?

Access Investors are the founders, investors, and operators who source deals for Get Access. They include Elad Gil, Jim Breyer, Kevin Hartz, and more. Access Investors are not employees of Get Access and do not provide investment advice to members.

What's included, and what does it cost?

Membership is $5,000 per year and includes access to ~50 deals/ year. Every deal carries the same structure: no management fee, no setup or deal fees, and discounted 10% carry for Founding Members.

How are investments structured? Can I sell?

Each investment is made through a single SPV administered by AngelList. The SPV buys newly issued shares directly from the company, with the company's approval, and holds them on the company's cap table. You hold an interest in the SPV. We don't offer secondary purchases or vehicles that invest through other vehicles. Private company investments are illiquid: expect to hold until an exit, such as an acquisition or IPO, which can take years or may not happen. You can lose your entire investment.
